Temporary VS. Eternal

So you decide that you want to do something that will forever last. You say that you want to do something to  help other people. You want to do something eternal.
You have a friend named Jerald. He decides that he wants to do something that will forever last. He says that he wants to do something to help other people. He wants to do something eternal.
So you both do a cancer walk. Jerald organizes his walk to be in the center of town, inviting lots of people and giving absolutely all of the money raised to charity.
You have your cancer walk in the outskirts of the city (location not really mattering) and you give all of your money to charity. But your cancer walk is centered around Christ, the walk is started in prayer, and the Gospel is spread and the walk given to God for what He has done. So tell me, whose is eternal?
The truth is, only the things done for Christ are eternal. In no way can anyone justify any other argument! Only the things done for Christ will last forever. it is not about being nice, or even doing something "good" for humanity. The point of this life is the eternal and abundant life through Christ! Therefore, only things done through and for Him will stand. So what does that mean? That means that we should look for ways to do things for Christ with Him as the center and His Gospel the intention, not just good works. That way, we know that all that we do (involving Christ) will last!
