Run With Perseverance
In today's society, it is incredibly easy to slow down in our Christian walk with all of the distractions that the world has to offer us. Everything from smartphone, to social media have the ability to give us a spiritually apathetic life when it comes to consistently and actively following Christ. The apathy that I am referring to includes but is not limited to, slowly regressing from spending time with God through His Word, slacking up on the guarding of our hearts, minds, and tongues, failure to spend time in prayer, failure to love others as Christ first loved us, inability to disciple others to be more like Christ through our lives, lack of desire to be more like Christ through someone discipling us. What am I saying? The life that leads to knowing Christ is not based on instant gratification (smart phones, social media, internet etc.), but based on perseverance and patience. We live in a world where absolutely everything is in fingertips length. But when it comes to God, we must persevere continually and seek Him without stopping. You cant just access the Kingdom of Heaven like a webpage. You cannot feel sorta bad about sin one time in your life, never accept Jesus, but go to church and think that everything is alright. One must accept Jesus and believe in His name to be saved. And after that we need to seek Him continually, not with one time instant gratification, but perseverance for a personal relationship. Run with Perseverance. -AJ
